Nige wrote:Paul, see here fourth post from the bottom with the pictures. You need blend the adaptor plate and the manifold and countersink the stud head so it is flush with the adaptor plate.
CRAMBURY RS wrote:THANK YOU!!! and yes, a gasket is best between the adapter and stock manifold. also, if you look at LGM's/Ekapol's pics you will notice that the stock manifold needs to be expanded also. you can probably get by without smoothing out the adapter but if you have the stock gasket and a dye grinder with a carbide bit, i would get to it
also, if you haven't noticed the hole on the far right is smaller than the rest, i did this so that you could drill the larger hole for the head of the countersunk bolt first without too much bit play, then drill the thread diameter last.

And so it becomes clearer, when you say "Blend" the two together, do you mean grind the adaptor plate out until its hole allows the full hole of the manifold to show ?.
I see what you mean about the small hole, very sensible !.
Thanks, Paul

lotusgirlmarie wrote:I ordered a boatload of new studs fand nuts rom Isuzu for the manifold to head and manifold to adapter. Both Ekapol and I have new manifolds as well to make install easier with less downtime.
