Not long to go now :-D

I can not wait for this little adventure

Update time! As time is ticking away my parents have asked me to put a cap on the number of available camping spaces. As a result of this I believe that in addition to the already confirmed individuals there will be FOUR more camping plots available.

These will now be strictly first come first served.

This is the list as I have it currently...

1) Chris T (gite) arriving on the Sun evening (2)
2) Muley (gite) arriving Sun evening (2)
3) Paulwatkins (B&B) arriving Sat morning (2)
4) Dapinky (camping) TBC (1)
5) Andy H (camping) arriving Sun TBC (1)
6) Blacknight (parents floor) arriving Sat morning (2)
7) DavidJT (B&B) arriving Mon (1)

(The number in brackets is number of people in party)

Please amend any details that are incorrect :oops:

Also my parents have asked if we would like to book a retaurant for a meal one evening? (this can be confirmed nearer the time when we have confirmed numbers)

TWO WEEKS TO GO

As the time grows nearer :-D

this week I will post detailed directions for how to reach the house from the nearest village appearing on sat nav!

Sorry to all you sat nav users but this place is so rural you may need to resort to old fashioned directions :lol:

If there is anything else I have forgotten, or you need to know, just ask.

Really looking forward to this trip now

I sail this Friday evening so that I can make sure everything is ready for the rest of us, so if there are any questions I can be pmed or emailed up until Friday afternoon, and then it will be the phone numbers attached to the directions.

This was a great trip. The LMC was fantastic makes the revival and FOS pale into insignificance in my opinion. Cos of the French's complete disregard for H&S you are able to get up very close to the cars in motion, in fact I saw someone get hit!! Got loads of photos and vid, which i will utube some in due course.

From Le Mans, to Iains parents Gite which was so relaxing with some really cool places to visit. BBQing every night after the occasional swim in the pool and having breakfast out in the early morning sun was very special. Would very much like to go back ans do some cycling. The french roads were fantastic to drive - thanks to Brendan for organising the treasure hunt. Paul had some fun but i'll let him tell you all about that!!! All you guys were great company, thanks a load for making it all possible.

Got back to blighty yesterday evening and was greeted with a bit of rain and a huge traffic jam on the M26/M25 :roll:

Sure others will be along to fill in the various gaps that i have left

Agree with just about all of the above - a fantastic classic meeting, very relaxed & friendly: thanks to Gareth for the magic ticket, which got us into the grandstands, paddock, and even the pits on Friday (by mistake :-D

Consensus seemed to be: The Goodwood Revival could be as good as this - if only they had the room.

I have several hundred photos: how many would people like? (& is there an 'Uploading for Dummies?')

The car not only got me there, but after being timed properly, (more thanks) practically flew back - and now de-mystified, I can check base timing and the other parameters myself in future.

There's so little traffic in France, driving is a pleasure once more; she gets a reprieve, and a re-spray.

And finally, thanks to everyone for making the holiday part so peaceful and relaxing.

A biennial LEC event from now on?

Just thought that I would post a message of thanks to all the people who attended and made this event possible. :-D

Thanks to Dave and Paul for making it possible for me to actually take the Elan by providing me with emotional support, guidance, brute force and spare parts! :lol:

(maybe next time Dave you will be there).

Thanks to Andy, Richard, Paul, Larri, Jim, Jen, Chris, Dee and Dave for providing stimulating company throughout.

Special thanks to Paul, Chris and Jim for proving themselves on the BBQ :wink:

Extra special thanks to my parents for hosting this gathering and setting up an enjoyable treasure hunt.

I have aprox 250 photos to sort through so will post some pics once I work out how to!

Thanks again and if support dictates I would be happy to arrange similar in the future :wink:

OK a short video of the group 6 cars going out on their qually laps. I'm afraid the vid doesn't have the vibration and smells that these cars had in reality. All i can say it was an amazing experience.
