just curious but if you really wish me to source you a manifold would you also like me to take delivery of the addapter plate and port match it? I'll look into pricing.....

DBE after shipping $374.87...just called them. they have 3 on the shelf.

is that for all 3? if that's the price for one then i love myself. before isuzu pulled out of the US i sourced mine for a steal. i also got 20% over cost at the time working for Checker Schucks Kragen. No more of that discount, but i'll take my state job over CSK any day :D

oh, sorry for the late response LGM, i was working and got side tracked. buzz me when you get back and are all rested up.

Marie,

If you could please source the manifold and port match that would be great.

Rafael, can you please direct one of my adaptors to LGM?

Thanks

Ekkers will handle monies as he has a better way to handle transactions with less fees. So as it looks I"m port matching 2 manifolds and one adapter? is this right?

Paul,

A decision needs to be made on where to source the turbos from first, I'm inclined to get mine in the UK, as per Nige's suggestion.

Ailwyn, I was more concerned with upfront payment for the manifolds really. Obviously don't expect Marie to stump up $1000+ for 3 manifolds. Also, I'm on hols in 4 weeks, so don't want to fall behind on other payments due.
As for sourcing the turbo's- Myself and PaulP were going for the easy (possibly more expensive) option. How long do you think the waranty will be for? 12 months or maybe a mileage thing? In the unlikely event of it going wrong maybe they will offer to replace it with a UK distributor, and if not, its not the end of the world if it has to be shipped back to the US. just remind me I said that when it all goes wrong :-)
If I read it right, Paul's friend was offering the discount on 10 turbos?
If we can find a reasonably priced UK distributor then fair enough, we'll probably join in. We'll have to be quick though, 5th July is nearly here!
Just thinking out loud.

I'm setting up Google Checkout account at the moment, waiting for Google to verify my account. We will try to use this over Paypal if possible, since Google charges 2% + $0.20 (US?) instead of Paypal's close to ~4% total taking out for US transaction

The original discount for 10 Turbos was indeed from Paul's friend. However, as it looks unlikely that 10 people would want to source their turbos in the UK I asked what discount would be given on a group buy of 5. If we can get 5 UK purchases together then the Turbos (with 12 PSI wastegate) are £560 each (this price includes the VAT and I believe the shipping).

That sounds a much better deal Ekkers. Thanks for the effort.

Nige, sounds a good price that. I'm quite sure Paul and myself will be up for that deal.

Just spoke with my Garrett guy. "Warranties for Garrett products with valid ID# are worldwide through authorized distributors. Warranties are for 12 months if installed by an authorized dealer." He wouldn't tell me if it wasn't installed by a dealer. If I had to guess 3-6 months. Either way, for our aplication we won't be stressing the turbo out so none of this should be an issue.

On a related topic, for those that wish thier compressor housing polished please allow me just alittle more time as we start to get things moving.

If possible I would like to get deposits worked out and transfered by mid next week as I have 3 days off in my schedual. That way I can make some serious headway and start on the downpipes ect.

updates list:
1 Ailwyn PAID!!! (Need address for shipping to Ekapol or LGM)
2 Ailwyn PAID!!!
3 ADD and CONFIRM yourself HERE
4 ADD and CONFIRM yourself HERE
5 ADD and CONFIRM yourself HERE
6 MINE!!!

I think Richard K is in, but need a final OK and payment from the rest if you want it shipped. ARP is ready, i have customs slips and everything.

btw, can the UK members tell me if sending it as "used car parts" and "gift" helped them with duty fees? if there is a better way, please let me know. :D

Cram`s,

I`ve not been stung for Duty yet  but just keep the items value as low as you can. IIRC ticking gift just gives you up to £8 before they stick on the duty/vat

Might be worth just stating it`s a replacement adaptor plate :?

The thing is sometime you might think you`ve got a way with it and then 3 months down the line you get a bill through the post

Just mark it as a prototype auto part. Put a low value >$50 and they won't bother.
