Sorry if this has already been covered, but are these kits available now or are they a work in progress to be available in the future?

Excuse my ignorance

Cheers

They are a work in progress
Bear in mind this is a bulk purchase from the Sates + alloy pins machined and anodized as per Dorman calipers
They should be ready 1st week in July (allowing for delivery from the States)

Sorry Ailwyn I will only be able at this time to supply 3 as that is all that is left in this order!

So note folks

I have ordered 25 sets of boots + 50 calipers seal kits + 100 pins (I'm still making as fast as I can)

I do not mind supplying the pins but will need a little time as I have some other projects I need to get machined.

So for the time being the list is closed.

1. Sy - 1 pin kit & 2 repair kits
2. John_W - 1 pin kit & 2 repair kits
3. rip - 1 sliding pin kit & 2 repair kits
4. surferphil - 2 Pin Kits and 4 Repair Kits
5. A B Munro - 1 pin kit & 2 repair kits
6. Geoff - 1 pin kit & 2 repair kits
7. dermotbell - 1 kit
8. Gazza - 1 pin kit & 2 repair kits
9. woody - 1 pin kit & 2 repair kits
10. Dico - 1 pin kit & 2 repair kits
11. addict - 1 pin kit & 2 repair kits
12. Monty - 1 pin kit & 2 repair kits, No bolts
13. Andy_J - 2 Pin Kits & 4 Repair Kits
14. Paul.P - 1 Pin kit & 2 repair kits
15. Nige - 2 pin kits and 4 repair kits.

17. Davidjt - 1 pin kit & 2 repair kits
18. L.G. - 1 pin kit & 2 repair kits
19. Blacknight - 1 pin kit & 2 repair kits
20. Ailwyn - 3 Caliper worth

Bob,

I've sent an email regarding the above... guess I'm too slow off the mark.

Can you please include bolts with my kits/pins, 8 in total IIRC.

Thanks

If there is enough interest I do not mind repeating this but will need a minimum of 10
Aluminium bar (HE30) comes in 4 meter lengths to be economical.

So if more people want them please start a new topic with a new list to save any confusion with this one!

It will take around 6 to 8 weeks before I am able to proceed with another batch

As a note to all the people across the pond I can supply the pins but the postal cost will have to be taken into account.

While we are on the subject of brakes, my rear pistons were both missing the little plastic valve that sits in the centre.

As Bob's kit contains the valve I am reluctant to buy from Lotus (varies in price from £18 at SJ to £40 at Paul Matty!) and am considering running without it.

Does anyone know the purpose of this valve??

The bolts for these calipers are not as cheap as I thought they would be and quite difficult to find a supplier

Did so in the end, cost will be an additional £3.80 for 4 but they are better than the originals and similar to the ones supplied with the Dorman calipers

I am finalising the list as to who wants what, so I would ask if you could all email me with your details (name and address) and exactly what you want (with or with out new bolts etc)

For any one who happens to be attending Round 6 of the Elise Trophy on the Sunday at Snetterton on the 20th July I will be going and you can collect if you wish as they ought to be done by then!

I have recieved the caliper repair kits to day and I'm impressed with the speed as I only ordered last weekend.

I knew the boot kits were going to take a little longer as they come from a different source but they should ship soon as they did say there could be up to a 12day delay (comes of picking the lowest cost option)

If any one is desperate to overhaul the calipers less the pin kits let me know

Thanks for all your help so far. I will be re-furbing my fronts after seeing the amateur job done on the rears.

Getting Very close now!

The pins will go for anodising, all 100, of them Friday.
The remaining parts should ship Monday (why the delay I do not know but it may have been the fact I ordered 25) so should be with me latter part of next week.
I will include a tool for fitting the locator rings with the kits, 1 per person.
Total cost including bolts and postage etc to keep it simple will be £50.00

I will email all those who have supplied email addresses and post address, with details of where to send money and I will dispatch as soon the money is received and all the parts are here.
Looks like that it is likely to be Friday of next week.

Those of you that have not supplied an address please email me or if push comes to shove PM

For those of you that have ordered more that one kit £50.00 for the first and £48.00 there after so 2 kits = £98.00 and 3 = £146.00
Kits are axle sets including bolts
