Makes it so, when you tighten the screw, the head has something to push up against so to speak (am i being clear or confusing?) But, there's nothing like a socket for the screw to rest in on these escutcheons (especially if we are drilling a plain hole). So, what are people using to fasten it down with? The OEM screws or something else????
