This is nothing but a thought at the moment. Maybe a pipe dream. I've just been thinking how I would like to take my Elan for a leisurely drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway. The parkway has some of the most beautiful scenery in North America, and is a road built specifically for the pure enjoyment of the drive.
Would anybody be interested in maybe getting together to roll our rare and beautiful rides down the length of this road, during the fall color change, which peaks in the middle of October? For me, I could time the trip to end with me attending the Tennessee - Alabama football game in Knoxville the third Saturday in October. Daytime high temperatures along the parkway in October average in the 60's, so if we're lucky, light-weight jackets or sweaters would be all we need to enjoy the scenery without the constraints of canvas and glass encasing us.
Chime in, anybody interested. Maybe we can arrange something. I know there are several folks in the DC, Virginia, and North Carolina areas. Let's hear from you.
