I've heard a rumour that there isn't going to be a Stoneleigh this year.
Not a great loss, but it does mean that my furry hat won't get an outing this year

Confirmed that there will not be a Stoneleigh parts fair 2008 in the latest edition of the Club Lotus Magazine which arrived with me yesterday. No reason given but the LOtus do at hethel in Sep and the fact that the lady who organises the Club lotus shows had a baby earlier this year may all be contributory factors.

I got one of those today as well.
Alan offers the opportunity for views at the end of his letter. If we have an LEC view I'll happily pull that together and write back with our thoughts. I'd be concerned if Donington became 2 seperate events on the same day and if there is to be a Stoneleigh at Donington I would prefer it to be on the Sunday (traditionally always the quieter day anyway).
Post here if you have views you want represented.

With F1 going to Donington I fear CL will be priced out of that too in due course!
With you on the Sunday idea though Nige.
Maybe a venue near Stonelegh, or maybe combine with another CL event such as Castle Combe when it's supposed to be warmer. Maybe try to get it at Hethel? The possibilities must be endless really which may be where Alan needs some inspiration, or to be inspired!

Shame.
Guess we will have to make the most of Hethel.
Stonleigh and Donington are 2 very different events and I hope they both continue. I do however see Donington changing massively from a friendly open place to restricted, expensive and less inviting. Wouldn't be surprised if many events held there will move or be moved on. (or stop

)
Men are like a fine wine.
They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the sh * t out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.
