I went for a cracking spin up in the Brecon Beacons with the Piston Heads South Wales lot today. They are lovely driving roads, plus the rain held off, so topless action all day!

A good variety of marques turned up: TVR's, Maserati, Ferrari, Porsche, etc etc. and Lotus of course.

I set off at 9am this morning and got back in about 7.30...I'm absolutley knackered! But it was worth it......great day out.

As for another meet in May, I've got a rolling road session booked for next weekend, the Castle Combe event on the 24th and a couple of cheaky hoons arranged in-between, so I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to commit at the moment CJ. If the weather is really good on the date that you decide, I may become a last minute addition. I'll keep an eye on this thread for the arrangements.

That wasnt us Phil. We meet at J30 M4 (Cardiff East Services) then head up the A470 off J32.

Castle Combe should be good. There was a good LEC (and BOLLECKS) turn out last year; lets hope the weather is good again and that it can be repeated.

I've always thought that Donington in March isnt the best time of year for a meet for convertable cars!

What about making Castle Combe in May, the new LEC pilgrimage?

Not content with hijacking threads, the Bollecks have graduated to hijacking Club Lotus event venues, now! :-D

We've got three parking spaces set aside for guests: Dave Eds will be parking on the left hand side (left bolleck), Rip will park on the right (right bolleck) .......... any ideas for the middle position?

Does anyone fancy a get together before Weston - Pinky is the troublesome one, so I suggest that he proposes a few dates and before you say it, "one step forward, opens gob, three steps back and leans on shovel" as usual). :-D

Re: BOLLECKS* meeting - anyone fancy a quick one before Weston?

Postby blacknight » Fri 12.09.2008, 09:25

Ok. After the rousing success of the 31st

Perhaps we should try to arrange a pre christmas get together? I know I will have a better chance of planning ahead and getting time off work if we have plenty of notice?

Suggestions are welcome, but with the concentration of elans in the area it would be rude not too :poke: sort something out.

Plus my understanding is BOLLECKS make up for quantity (lack of) with the quality of our events

Cheers

:agree:

I think our Castle Combe event went pretty well and took surprisingly little organising. :D

Dave, there was nothing wrong with the 31st

In fact we should explore some options for a repaeat performance next year and maybe get involved with one of their events?

My suggestion for Christmas would be an evening meal in a establishment also selling beverages of an intoxicating nature

I feel confident that I can persuade a designated driver to come along (the wife) :D

Cheers

Iain,

Evenings, weekdays, weekends - makes no difference to me (that's shift work for you!).

If we can get a consensus of who is up for it, and whether they would prefer a weekday evening, weekend evening, weekend lunchtime slot, then maybe we can toss a few dates around???????
Then dependant on attendees, sort out a venue.

In the best of LEC traditions, we'd better have a list :-D

1. Blacknight - evening meal
2. pinky - anytime
3.
