Norfolk Fish 'n Chip coastal re-run - 31stMay . 2009

Postby Tentenths » Thu 25.09.2008, 00:14

Evening chaps,

Your LEF cousins are organising an end-of-season hoon/fish 'n chip run up the Norfolk coast on Sunday 19th October and you are cordially invited to join us :)

Dave Eds has very thoughtfully decided to celebrate Mrs Eds' birthday by taking her out for an airing on the Norfolk coast (but keep it quiet cos I don't think he's plucked up the courage to tell her yet!) and it would be great to have a few more of the LEC crew come along too.

Full details can be found over on LEF - here

Hooned around Norfolk today with Dave Eds and Shaun&Jacky? There were a few other Lotus cars there. Elises- like cockroaches. Esprits. A 2008 Europa. Norwich to Caister and north to Cromer for fish and chips then return. A good run out and some good practice for next weekend.
Managed to power up my new drive and cloaking device apparently. That last surprise was a good one eh Shaun?

Good day out - 250 miles for me following 330 miles yesterday, I'm knackered!

M11 was shut on the way up this morning, and static this evening on the way back. Luckily I did not get caught on it, but had to detour through the villages.

Thanks to Shaun for guiding me through Norwich too.

I'll post up some pics later of 3 M100s, 5 Elises, 6 Esprits (one of which was smokin'!) and 1 Europa S.

Hi Spud
I was only three cars behing you at the A11 roundabout, then you put the pedal down and were gone. Hyperdrive still works then? That wpc in Norwich had a good look at me. I think she'd have stopped me if she were on her own. She had this ugly fat bloke with her though. D

DaveT - I think you are a Time Lord, how did you manage that last one? One second we where at the roundabout all alone, next second you had uncloaked behind us! Noticed the wpc, glad she didn't spoil your fun.

DaveEds - glad I could finally have been of service with my directions!

BTW the diversion at Horsford was due to a woman smashing her people carrier into a house at estimated 70mph in a 30 zone at 3am (with 2 kids on board). A friend on facebook had put a picture up yesterday afternoon.

A handlful of pics - looks like Jackie had problems with the Camera too...

It was a great day and looking forward to the next trip.

The cloaking device used will not reappear until about 2150. I nearly gave the game away but had to eat fish to conceal my true identity. As for how I did it-there are many secrets you still have to learn but I cannot tell this one. Nor can I divulge the nature of the new drive. It is very new and can only be used for very short periods. When I came off the roundabout there was some silly git trying to tailgate me. He got sprayed with grit and pebbles from the gutter as I engaged hyper drive. Lots of wheel spin and then there you were right in front of me.
Going for a glass of kali-fal now before work.

Sounds infinitely improbable to me. Anyone seen the monkeys who stole my typewriter?

2 big pieces of halibut and some peas with the chips for me, please! Have a joyous drive, friends. Enjoy your kind English summer!
