Well thats a bit more positive :o , now if we can get Gary back interested in LEC, although i fear that maybe a bit harder :(

Why have we finally upset him?
We have been giving him verbal for a long time & he has always taken it in good spirit.

Our usual meeting point has recently been Elton, near Peterborough...which is not very close to you, DaveT or Dave Eds.

Why not try to make something a little more central.

ShaunM..Norwich
Gary...Oakham (Rutland)
Paul...Oakham (Rutland)
DaveT...Ipswich
Dave Eds...Bishops Stortford
Nobby...Hertford
Josler...St Neots
John W ...Sorry, can't quite remember, but has made it to Islip & Elton
Stef...Kettering
rip...Milton Keynes
Dico...Somewhere on a reasonable London-Manchester route on a Tuesday evening.

I don't expect we will all go, but nobody has suggested anything so far.

Dico can only make Tuesdays
Gary won't go very far on a Tuesday (sounds like he has a lot on his mind other than Elans right now).
Last time Stef arranged a meet, she forgot all about it. :-D
Miss Elan may also turn up for a weekend meet. (Sociable creature, but a little further away from our usual meeting points than the rest of us).

I think somewhere in the Cambridge area is fairly central to most of us.
Does anyone want to second me on that or tell me to go :smt067 ?

Also Tuesday night or weekend?

Weekend = daylight & more us us would probably be there.
Tuesday = Our usual very welcome guest trucker (& Mancunian hoarder of Elan spares & compulsive group buy subscriber :-D ) will almost certainly be there.

About time we split this into two then.

1) East Mids (East Mids)
2) East Mids (Anglian)

No sense in debating journey length and durations and never managing to make any definitive meets.

Anyone who wants to make a meet with the second group at the previously discussed Cambs venue sign up below, and I'll get the thread renamed or split as appropriate.

Nothing on my mind mate !

My weekends are pretty busy at the moment. Certainly can't make 16th as I'll be at the Classic Car Show !

Won't be getting the Elans out unless the weather improves, however I don't think Mr P will be in his either as he has sorned it...
