He's warned me it's going to cost.....
Waiting on head gasket from Lotus, so won't be repaired until the weekend at the earliest. I might come along in the Honda, but it depends on work.

Michelle and I will be there. Probablt not in the elan though as it still at garage awaiting alternator refurb. If she pulls her finger out maybe in the mini as it's almost finished. But, probably in one of the others.

Doesn't look as thoughI'll make it tonight :( . I could blame pressure of work, but there again I could be more honest and admit I'm still recovering from a work Christmas do last night :-D .

Rob, If you have been able to get my turbo adaptor plate milled down thank you and sorry I'm unable to be there to collect it tonight. I won't be at the Christmas meal this year either as it's Lynn's dad's65th that weekend. So it looks as though it will be Januaryu before I see you.

Sorry I didn't get there - too busy at work, but I WILL make it in January! Gutted to hear I missed a chance to reminisce about Minis - my first three cars were all Minis (and my very first one was a Mini Countryman, coincidentally a similar red to my Elan, with wood cladding, amazing long gearstick, push button starter and "garden" along where the sliding windows go). I'd better stop there or it'll end up a very long post!

Hope you all have a great Christmas.
Regards

Happy birthday Mark, I bet its good to have the Elan back despite the niggles. You're all set for the summer now. I know that if its not raining then its good to have the roof down but there are limits especially if hyperthermia is an issue  Remember the Jan meet is on the 1st wednesday!!!!

Oh and have a good Christmas Image

Its still at H&C. After the January meet could you change the thread title to 'Southern Area Meet-1st Wednesday of the Month'.

Cheers

yeah may as well. Cheers.

On the home website why not link to the relevant section on the forum for 'Meet' info. This will mean you won't have to keep altering the home site.
