Soft wheel brace

Postby GeoffSmith » Sun 09.09.2007, 23:41

Do yourself a favour and wrap some Duck tape around your wheel brace and socket to protect the wheels. After having a couple of near misses, I did what I'd been meaning to do for a long time.

Well, what are you sat there for? Get your butt in gear and go and do it NOW!

Geoff, why not put on your coke-bottle glasses before you stick it in the hole?! :-D

Hopefully that's just a reflection of the pink duck tape with the camera flash going off ??

Getting a bit cack handed now you've turned 50 Geoff ??

PS Actually it's one of his better ideas

If anyone's interested the standard wheel brace is also sold by Ford (£5) from a Fiesta/Focus and fits a treat - both to the wheel nuts and the retainer in the boot. My original had been chocolotafied by some ape.

Coupeboy

You'll have a 19mm brace for your SE.
Geoff's is an S2 and will be 17mm, so your statement only pertains to SEs.

Good point - although there are only 800 S2s and about 3800 S1s so I must have been around 82% helpful!
