I was just wondering if this would be the best time of year to ship, or whether it would be more prudent to wait till after the xmas period ?

that's why you insure it!

i've never lost anything that was well packed and being as i use the nylon/cloth reinforced tape, i never have to worry about items breaking the tape/box.

for some odd reason i am really excited to see pics of your kits getting installed :p

Your a lucky man, perhaps you've not had much experience of the British postal system ?

I don't mind when the stuff is sent, like i said " i was just wondering ".

Given the loading on the postal system at this time of the year and in UK at least the 'casual' workforce that is brought in, holding off shipping until early next year might well be a good option. I, like Paul and indeed Monty, am in no great rush as it will be a while before I fit this, I'm just pleased it was paid for at the exchange rate of earlier this year.

well i digress a little, i did end up losing an adapter, it ripped through the envelope on the way to Florida. the envelope still made it, just not the 2 kilos of steel inside it  that's before i starting wrapping and taping the item to a flat piece of cardboard, then wrapping the outside corners and seams.

good idea on the first of the year though. even just the week after christmas is better than the next week to 10 days.

Hi everyone,
I didn't get on board with this in the beginning as I have rarely use the Elan over the last couple of years.
Well I have now decided (new years resolution) to get the old girl out more
To do this well, I need to update and improve certain areas (referb suspension, mountain chip, new roof / seals
and if possible a turbo upgrade.
If there are any untaken parts, or if it was possible to be added to the list, I would need all but the turbo.
I understand if this is not possible, but there's no harm in asking.
Regards
Jim

Marie,

Can you please ensure that my 2 turbo adaptors are included in my package? (I have no doubt that you have already factored that in, just have to be safe) :)

Ailwyn: you have PM.

From the count, we found that one adapter plate is missing so we are tying to figure out where they go or if anybody didn't send us the adapter plate.

Please also let me know if anybody PM-ed me in the past asking me to get you a new oil pan. My older PM in the inbox were wiped out.

Thanks Ailwyn. That helps a lot.

Wonder if anyone else might want to get an exhaust manifold. I just happen to have one extra. Please PM me. Will ship out with your other items.

This one would not be jet-hotted. For those that already paid for them, you will get Marie-ported, shiny jet-hotted version. ;-)

Jet-hotted exhaust manifold + Ported adapter plate: Let me know if this is not accurate.
1. RichardK -- Shipped & Received
2. MattRI
3. Ailwyn
4. Ailwyn

Exhaust Manifold (no adapter plate):
1. Dico -- You've got PM
2. AB Munro -- You've got PM
