I'd like pale blue, perhaps edging towards a mid turquoise (but NOT medina green), with a Lotus logo highlighted in a red/pink accent - a shade or 2 lighter than calypso .
If it could have a graduated border starting at Dark Purple (something like 'Autumn Nights' from the 2005 B & Q paint chart), and flowing over a 1 1/2" 'blend' into a bright cerise ('Lucious Lips' is the closest i can get on the Rimmel nail polish chart i have for reference) that would be great.......

......if that isn't possible, plain black will do fine

I've been looking for alternatives and came up with these.

The "Sparco" emblem is stick-on, that can be thrown away. They are supplied such that you cut them to size and shape so should do for both front and rear flaps. They don't come with fixings but should be able to sort that easily enough. £11.48 delivered, so it's not a disaster if they're rubbish. Colourwise they should look good on Elans that are red, blue or white. I think the Lotus originals were white anyway, therefore white would be the most suitable one for other Elan colours.

Some other car forums seem to think they are OK.

Has anyone on here tried these?

Lotus Elan M100 originals were black...and so far I've trashed two pair of them...

Top tip.... don't reverse up kerbs...it rips them clean off

That's a design problem. There should be a rubber flap on the bottom. The Elan is not as bad as my TR8 (only half the ground clearance of the Elan!) or the super-low oil-pan on my Maserati.

I checked back Specky and you're quite right the originals were black. I got confused with some other pictures on the same thread.

My doctor says if I keep taking the tablets my dementia won't get any worse !! Wibble.
