Geoff,

Have you been eating them funny little mushrooms again??????

Where the heck did your list come from????

Why have i been attached to this fictional new batch (Angie needs a set, I've already got some!)

Okay, just to try and clarify, (and to be sensible at the same time), i need ONE set in black, please, for Angies car.
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Prescription only mate.

dapinky wrote:I'd like pale blue, perhaps edging towards a mid turquoise (but NOT medina green), with a Lotus logo highlighted in a red/pink accent - a shade or 2 lighter than calypso .
If it could have a graduated border starting at Dark Purple (something like 'Autumn Nights' from the 2005 B & Q paint chart), and flowing over a 1 1/2" 'blend' into a bright cerise ('Lucious Lips' is the closest i can get on the Rimmel nail polish chart i have for reference) that would be great.......

From the two sentences loosely based on the colours of your cars! Maybe I misread as I was retching so bad half way through!

Postby theelanman » Tue 24.03.2009, 16:26

ok...just an update
a full set of front and rears will be £30.......providing we get 25 sets made.....
also depending on the material we go for.......
Im still waiting for the final specs but 3mm thick Black E.P.D.M is the current spec

EPDM rubber (ethylene propylene diene M-class rubber) is an elastomer which is characterized by wide range of applications. The E refers to Ethylene, P to Propylene, D to diene and M refers to its classification in ASTM standard D-1418. The “M” class includes rubbers having a saturated chain of the polymethylene type. The diene(s) currently used in the manufacture of EPDM rubbers are DCPD (dicyclopentadiene), ENB (ethylidene norbornene) and VNB (vinyl norbornene).

The ethylene content is around 45% to 75%. The higher the ethylene content the higher the loading possibilities of the polymer, better mixing and extrusion. During peroxide curing these polymers give a higher crosslink density compared with their amorphous counterpart. The amorphous polymer are also excellent in processing. This is very much influenced by their molecular structure. The diene content can vary between 2.5wt% up to 12wt%

Im also looking at a laminate but depending on it composition depend on its price.....

however...EPDM....bendy but hard wearing...and shouldnt fade

everyone still in???....

:-D :-D
