I was working on the standard cables not necessarily for the Hi-spec rear upgrades but it should not take much to have them shortened to suit the Hi-spec upgrade.
At present I am working with a spacer between the stock cable and the caliper outer cable mounting to take up the difference in length on the Hi-spec rear upgrade.

I thought his car had been nicked after reading his first message but all became clear with the second.
Actually I just replaced mine after my Elan failed it's MOT last year due to an inoperative handbrake on one side.
Fortunately Gareth (theelanman) had a spare cable so I drove up to Buxton, collected and fitted it, and the car passed the re-test the very next morning.
On Friday morning I got up to find my car had rolled down the drive in the night. It came to rest (fortunately without hitting anything) about 3 doors down the road. Should have pulled the lever up that extra notch, and more importantly put it in gear. Won't make that mistake again!

Striking fear into the hearts of duplicate posts everywhere...!

You could always consider using Steve B (not sure if he's going to Donington) or Muley (who is) as courier.

I have spoken with Mike at the company that is making these cables up and he has given me a firm price working from the sample I sent him.
Price is £27.50 + vat for each cable (£55.00 +vat the pair) free delivery to Donington.
Typical Lotus for some reason the adjuster on the cable is 9mm diameter which as a thread seems a strange choice, so as they do not do that size, I will get him to use 10mm to keep it nice and standard. The only thing this may effect is the hole it goes through as it may or may not need opening up a small amount. The adjuster will be 15mm ish longer than current but that just means there will be 15mm more adjustment.
For those in the Hi-spec rear upgrade I will get these cables made to suit as the outer will need to be around 40/50mm longer
If I am to make the Donington dead line I will need your money and the end of next week seems a good cut of point.

Bob, can you give the actual price including vat so nobody else makes the same stupid mistake I made?
I added 1.75% plus a bit more for a pint. Then the wife told me it wasn't 1.75%, and wasn't even 17.5% but was 15%!! FFS!
Another payment coming your way (Sorry

)

Dico
I take it maths is not not your strong point, so £55.00 plus the vat makes the total
£63.25.
