Good job that Murray hung-up his microphone - that race would've finished him off

nice to see that the 'champion' is doing well now hes in an average car........ha!

Totally agree a big up to Jenson, Rubens & the Brawn team !, but FFS get a grip G, Lewis coming 3rd from last on the grid in an un competative car, bloody brilliant drive !. Why, oh why, do a lot of us Brits have to slag off someone who represents the country so well, suppose you think the cricketers are brill cause there Fing useless ?, its no wonder this country's gone to the dogs

Oh, & by the way, for those of you that wanted it back on the BBC, what a load of crap !, no hi-def, no after race interviews, i was undecided on this before today, but unless the BBC change the format quickly, i think it was a bad move for the general public .

There were post race interviews, the usual three behind a desk interview plus a girl scurrying alongside Lewis Hamilton asking questions.

I also never liked the german italian either....mr shoemucker......
my choice......I just found the Lewis thing abit shoved in yer face by him and the media....
I got a dvd for christsmas 2007....after Lewis' FIRST season.....you know what it was called??....F1 Legends....Im sorry but the bloke had only been in the sport 5 mins....Jim Clark, Senna, Hunt, Hill (G),....now theyre what I call Legends.....not the upstart that is Hamilton........

even if I thought it was a half decent drive still wouldnt stop me disliking him ...sorry
just my veiw of him

3rd....yeah after a bit of jiggery pokery.....2 crashed out and a sort of technical disqal shoved him to 3rd.......

still doesnt make me like the guy.....

sorry Paul but I dont think I'll ever like the guy....no offence......just me

I found the red button half way through the Grand prix. We didn't know we had that service. I sort of worked out some of the different options. But i started to miss the race. So i knocked it on the head. Now i cant go back to check it out. Whats the red button for besides the replay service? Andy

Well done to Jenson for a great win :smt023

What a great race, just a shame about the SC at the end

I have to agree with Paul, that Lewis did a good drive in the car he had but obviously a bit off luck helped him in to 3rd.

I think Jenson should enjoy the moment, once the diffuser issue is sorted i think he may struggle to win another race :?

I don`t know about anyone else but i found that Jonathan Legard annoying, he needs to know when to close his gob and give Brundle a chance to commentate

:agree: We should be proud of the fact that there are 2 Brit drivers in the top 3 - when did that last happen?? OK, so it is only one race into the season.......

They look like painted lobsters to me.
Top stuff from the 2 Brits. Obviously can't fault Jens but to finish 3rd from 18th is a great achievement. Luck? He kept his car on the track & out of trouble when few others could manage to do the same.
25 seconds for Trulli passing under the safety car was a bit severe for yesterday's infringement. Maybe 3 places shluld have been better? Maybe that's something which can never be done fairly.

I was unable to watch the race live & could only see bits & pieces of the 1pm re-run so was looking forward to watching the highlights later in the evening. What? Not on? :wtf:

Choice of race times was a poor decision too. Driving an F1 car is challenging enough with the sun high in the sky. Having the race late in the afternoon meant that the drivers had to contend with a low-ish sun blinding them for a large part of each lap too.
Why? Because that tosser Bernie wants to make F1 a europeans-on-tour display.

Same here...but did find an hour of highlights about 7.00PM...stuck out of the way on BBC three.....or four....or seven.....or something...
I've probably still got the recording if you really want it. It might just arrive before next week's episode!

This link is good one that I use to find what sports are on TV: Live Sport on TV

Its only for UK listings, but using the menu on the left hand side you can find out what and when it is on

i think (if you watch again) trulli knew he was not ment to be on the podium.
he knew he overtook under the saftey car (i knew it wouldn't stick so why didnt they!)
his body language on the post race speach was showing this.

for me it was a shame as to see button and lewis on the podiym and post race speach would have been well worth listening too especialy after lewis's (dare i say it ...schumacher esque charge ((not a shuy fan but)) lewis drove his clogs off. button was on it ! 2 brits on the podium ,,, bring it on.
Jim Clark S2 - 1/12. The one with the Yellow spoke wheels . No 613 on dash (pushed in to factory in wrong order 615 on tub)

Gareth, the thread is called F1 :smt081

If A1 was on a basic channel (ie you don`t have to pay extra for) then i would imagine it would off been more popular :?

I assure you Mr G, i'm patriotic with any sport, & any sportsman / woman, colour, creed etc, if they can put there minds & body's to the limit to become the best & represent our country whilst doing it, they i say a big up to them. The real point is, why are you not patriotic, its attitudes like that that has sunk this country to the low level it is at the minute, we seem to have a culture that slags off the successful & the few things that are good about the country !. Now i understand you may not like Hamilton, although i believe theres no real reason, & that is your choice, but to start slagging people who are patriotic is just not on.

A few more "Giovanna Amati's" wouldn't go a miss in F1...may be Danica Patrick... :-D

It'll be intresting to see if Brawn get there cars band next month...and lets hope a few more cars get KERS..or it's gonna be Formula one precession again.

I am very patriotic.....you dont know what Ive done......
which I can guarantee is more for my country than you so how dare you
to be british is not jsut to say it and then waffle on about it.....or put your union jack underpants on..........
and as for having 'my attitude'.....Im sorry but you can sod rite off......

Ive not said anything other than I dont like Lewis Hamilton and Im sick to the back teeth of every other britain being over looked for the last 2 years.......

G, i was refering to the comment above, which certainly came over to me that we had become patriotic all of a sudden, which is quite wrong, but if thats not what you meant then please advise, as no ill feeling was intended ?
