Rubber lip - clamping plates **CLOSED**

Postby paulwatkins » Fri 03.04.2009, 19:32

Guys,
I'm just trying to gauge whether anyone would be interested in a set of stainless steel clamping plates for the rubber lip spoiler.

I went to see a fabricator today, and he was estimating about £20 for a set. He is going to look into it on Monday.

Anyone else interested in a set if its a go-er?

Might as well. All things considered it would take more time and effort making some than it was worth.

I've got the fixings that were supplied as part of Dave H's Stainless kit.

I guess I could replicate it at my local fasteners place.

Lets see how the pricing query comes back on Monday. It may be a non-starter

YES PLEASE!

I've been busy sourcing some stainless to do just this - the aluminium ones (even painted) are starting to corrode. If it's easier to use my aluminium ones as templates, just say. Maybe you could also get some plates to fit on the leading edge of the wheel arch liners to stop them drooping - again, I have a pattern.
