mmmmmm....not sure lying and cheating is nonsense.....

but I do agree that with all the tech stuff that the teams and the stewards have why does a decision take so long........
surely jump starts just pop up within a second of the lights going out....

So the diffusers are now legal.
Once again, F1 racing takes a back seat to F1 politics.

I am sure Ferrari, McLaren etc all had them ready, just in case. They will be a bit short on testing though.
Expect a very different GP this Sunday.

Can`t understand why the appealed after the Diffusers were already passed before the start of the 1st race, the other teams should of got on with it and made a similar diffuser and should off had them fitted at the last race

They had been told they could race with the diffusers, but they had to wait until the inquest had ruled them legal or illegal to see if the results would stand, pretty obvious they wern't gonna strip Button & Team Brawn of the races though :?

Yea, know what you mean, but theres a lot of good will towards the Brawn ( ex Honda ) setup, as theve really struggled last couple of years, & lets face it, its good to see other teams coming to the forfront !

Nope, they were already declared legal before the 1st race, this was an appeal and it was quite obvious that they weren`t going to overturn the decision

Just wonder if the other teams have new diffusers ready for weekend :?

I doubt it as apparently it requires a complete rear end re-design - possibly including changing the gearbox, and remember there is no testing allowed.

Probably why there has been all the fuss as the teams know how difficult it will be to change their cars

McLaren seem to have re-designed their rear end overnight then, Gary.
'Cos Lewis Hamilton was fastest in free practice this morning in a car fitted with a diffuser.
Jensen was second fastest... anyone for a Brit one-two on the podium!

I think Sy was pointing out that MacLaren already had a re-designed rear end ready to go, complete with diffuser.
