And you may as well get me a couple of them as well (and bring them to Donny for me :-D )

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

Top advice cheers.
No chance of me going to Donington anytime soon Dapinky. I'll be in Cheddar at Xmas but don't expect you'll want to wait till then.

It's not that far out of your way to get to Donny :-D :-D :-D

(& I've waited 2 years to replace the rubber, so Christmas isn't that far away - but I do think I'll sort it before then!)

I spent the day taking off my front bumper.....one thing led to another and my rubber lip is back in place with all the appropriate Geordie bling I bought about two years ago.....I'm not going to need the clamping plates, 17 sets of SST screws and washers are holding nicely.....but gawd my fingers are sore!!

:D It took me that long to get the car shipped to Cape Town! Actually looking at the (original) lip now that the bumper is back in place.....clamps maybe worth putting on - too much "wonkiness" where the black meets the red....Grrr!!!!

Mine were the same Richard and they get worse when you drive it and the air starts pushing the rubber down.

Three plates.

I'm convinced Geoff, back in

Max and Andy: Is it a hard job?......nope just frustrating and you end up with sore hands, fortunately I did not have to take a grinder to any of mine (!!) they came out with just a good spray of WD40...but my elan is particularly clean, I would say that these screws and fixings are probably the most rusted in screws on the Elan. Several cups of tea were required.

A few have expressed interest in the stainless steel fixings, but (AFAIK) the only person who's been able to provide a complete set in the past is DeeAitch.
Unfortunately his kits ran out about 2 years ago, but I've been in touch with him and this is what you need:

M5 x 20 long Pozi flanged self tapping screw - 17 off
M5 x Dia 18 washer - 17 off
M5 Spire nuts - std width - 13 off
M5 Spire nuts - narrow (11mm wide) - 4 off

The narrow spire nuts are the bits he can no longer get hold of - I need to ask further about the rest.

Hope this helps. :)
