Sorry, I can't remember.
Mine was one of the original batch & I was not in a rush to have it fitted.
I do remember Piper being very professional in this respect though. When they took on the projerct, they knew they would not be able to complete it quickly, gave an honest estimated completion date (which was about 6-8 weeks from when they mesured up Breed's Elan) & shipped out the finished article exactly on schedule.
If Piper have given you a date, they will probably send it on time.

Similar for me too Andy, mine was the first/prototype 2.5" dual silenced system. It was couriered and took no more than two days. I couldn't fit it for a couple of months but when I finally went to unpack it at the local garage it took a strong knife and a large bin by the time I was finished - it was really well wrapped. The clear instructions were a real plus too, the muppet inisted he knew best and didn't want to read them.....I stood back and waited until he had to pull it all off and put it together as per the instructions....went on a charm then and the 2.5" system is really BIG. Centering up the tailpipe in the rear bumper is straightforward too - just loosen the nut under the carpet in the boot that secures the hanger bracket, foot hard to centre and tighten it back up.

I think it sounds absolutely superb too.

Mine came within 2 days, I have now polished the tailpipe scratch out and well pleased with the sound and extra perkiness.

I had the, didn't want to read the Manuel with the Radio fitter when he was looking for the fuse behind the passenger seat. What is it with some of these guys? I have sent Lakeside engineering a copy of the Wastegate port how to with photos that Geoff knocked up for us. And a little note, Hope you don't think I'm telling you how to suck eggs. And a same available for the exhaust on request. I bet the don't ask though. I might just send it anyway. So you think a week is a bit longer than normal for the exhaust delivery? They have probably had a few ordered for the same exhaust. A&M

I wouldn't have thought Piper would keep much stock - given the numbers, it's not exactly a cash cow, is it? If there have been a few sold recently, they may be making up another batch. If you're concerned about it, why not give them a ring or drop Garry an e-mail?

The new studs are going to be a few days anyway. I just thought it was going to be a couple of days. I don't trust the scallies delivering it. Things tend to go missing. If its anything like Royal mail. Andy

Has anyone got a picture of the two box system? I only ask as I think I'm going to have to get my Peco system altered as it's just a little too loud and wondered where they managed to put the second box..... don't get me wrong I like the sound
but it can get a bit tiring on a long journey.

We put the second silencer in the front section. This was however taken into account at the design stage to allow space for the silencer.

From what i am told (and i may be wrong) it is not possible to fit an additional silencer to the Peco system as the system design does not allow enough space anywhere along its length.

I've been exploring the performance of my S1 no cat 1 silencer system and today gave it full beans in third gear watching the boost guage which went up to three quarters when the wastegate cut in with a bang and engine management light lit which went out after a minute after returning to lower revs. She drives fine after this incident.

As the new system is 2.25 inches and lets the gas flow more freely i've only ever seen the boost guage hit halfway before. Is it ok leaving it as is or should the wastegate be adjusted?

FIrstly, stock boost is 0.65 bar. The boost gauges are notoriously innaccurate which is why you were only seeing 0.5, but are obviously giving you a good idea of what is going on.
The cutting out is not the wastegate 'cutting in' but the wastegate is involved.
With the extra gas flow, the wastegate is too small to allow enough exhaust gas to bypass the turbo. The wastegate cannot open more than 100% (obviously). If 100% is not enough (as in your case & mine too), the turbo produces too much boost (boost creep). When the level of boost reaches 0.94 bar, then the ECU registers overboost, cuts power & restricts you to 4000rpm for a few seconds.
The cure is to port the wastegate. There is loads of info on the forum & Wiki about this, but in short, it involves removing the turbo (& all the rusted bolts which hold it in place ) then open out the wastegate to about 20mm with a grinding wheel. I've not done mine yet, but will be adding a Pre-cat eliminator when I do.

I replaced the Peco system on my car with a complete 2 box Piper system for the same reasons, and I have to say it was the best money I've spent on my car. It's quieter but still with a good exhaust note. It also made the car "feel" much smoother, more driveable and strangely faster, maybe just because it wasn't barking at me all the time, but I felt much more comfortable using the full rev range and changing up later.

Although I didn't fit the Peco i was concerned that I might be wasting my money replacing a perfectly good exhaust, but for me, it was money well spent as it dramatically increased my enjoyment of the car!

I would expect that the cat will muffle the exhaust note a little as it filters the gas.
Whether or not you find it too loud is a matter of personal taste.
If you don't like it at first, it may grow on you.
I didn't want overrun, but now I smile whenever the exhaust pops.

It was awesome! Hoping for the same from Piper.
