I can sympathize as I too just got a bill from FedEx for the BOV stating that my user name wasn't recognized and I owe $127USD for the BOV to Dubai. WTF?!? I already paid the Freakin shipping!!!! Now they want me to pay again? I'm going to give them a call when I calm down and get back to San Francisco.

I put mine together last week ( as far as I could) on a piece of carpet ( to prevent scratches) ... my kids were well impressed with the jet hotted manifold ....I think I had a few bolts left over ( as always) but it was bed time so I had to leave that logic puzzle until later. The BOV kit is installed ( is it right that you get the whoooosh every time you change gear or is it mean't to open only when on the boost?)

I've had four weeks of great weather but in the last few days Autumn has hit with a vengence with some serious rain and high winds.....nearly time to start with the major upgrades. Purchased a new torque wrench last week so I'm nearly ready to go...only need a bit of scaffold pole and I'll be ready for the turbo install.

Pix will follow.....

Here's one for now:

it depends on when you change gear, but if you watch your boost gauge if that moves when you come off the throttle and/or change gear you will get a whoosh.

Thanks Matt, ......umm...I get a whooosh everytime I change gear even when going slowly, I've screwed the allen bolt way in so maybe a blockage in the pipework.....need to check the line to the boost gauge?

You will get some of the BOV woosh on just about every shift. Even if the turbo isn't producing positive pressure on the gauge, it's still spooling.

You can easily get rid of the whoosh sound by piping the exhaust of BOV back into air box.

Thanks Marie and Tony, that's a relief

I don't want to cut into my bin so I ordered a pneumatic silencer ( ordered so long ago that I only just remembered!) Need to get back to the UK with a spare case.

Thanks
