Just got home.

Paid my charity donation and got a ride in the 2eleven -simply awesome. Ask Muley, he saw me get out after, and was second in the queue to go next.

Also blagged (again) 2 shorts sessions in Mike's (MPX) Esprit, thanks Mike - do hope the new brakes make the difference

Missed out on my usual stint with Nige, but so glad to see other people treated to his superb handling of his track car!

Thanks Martin (Tex) for the brake light bulb, Phil for chauffeuring me in the parade lap and for falling asleep on the way home

Top day out, made all the better by all the LEC boys and girls.

Really great day out as usual. Good to see the crowd.

Sorry Dave - the right front brake would only last 4 laps or so before sticking! Thats my story anyway and nothing to do with wanting to get off track before everyone lapped us! Hopefully the HiSpecs will sort all that out once I get them on. So coolant loss last year...sticky brakes today...what will it be next year I wonder! I had 15 years of just turning up and it all working....so I suppose I'm due a few glitches.

Yet another excellent day at Castle Combe. It was good to see all the usual faces and getting to meet Mike and Martin - two more faces to cybernames. Thanks to Chris, Diedre & Pinky for lunch, LEC's official photographer, the mysterious BOLLECK who arranges these events so successfully each year and finally to whoever arranged the glorious weather again - having remembered sun tan lotion this year, my face isn't burned like previous years but the backs of my legs aren't half sore!

As Dave says the 211 ride was fantastic - I've still got a grin on my face. I quite enjoyed the 'parade' lap, too - I could get hooked on driving round the track at speed in an Elan
