Trim Tech will replace webbing and tension cables on an "as needed" basis, but they're extra.

Following the link will get you to the products which are available in a choice of colours with seals webbing etc.
I can confirm that these hoods are the S2 version (slightly wider over the doors and with the extended S2 shape rain flange to the rear of the door windows).
They will fit SEs with the addition of a header rail extension that TT can fit, no problem.

IMHO this represent the very best value for money available to us at the moment.

Good hood, good service, and great hospiltailty whilst I was there. John is an excellent bloke and very proud of the business.

Do check the fitting/gluing of the seals, one of mine was not glued very well, not sure that the glue that they used was the correct one ' according to local dealer'..... that said TrimTech are replacing it FOC for my local dealer to fit.

Frame and roof all fine. Thoroughly recommended.

just want to say that the hood and seals are fitted. excellent fit. also it comes with the sides bracket extensions (s2) so that the elan (s1) will have less of a wet knee syndrome.

i need to replace the seals on the left and right of the windscreen and also real seal (gasket moreso) around the chassis flap where one opens to fold and keep the hood.

anyone done this or know where to get this?

Ordered a hood/seals kit from Trim Tech earlier this year, had it fitted locally as TT were busy with a block order and I couldn't be bothered to drive from Sussex to Coventry. Local fitter assured me he'd fitted plenty of M100 hoods before, it was him that advised me to make sure I had a new header seal "as they usually break when you remove them".

Hood fit was okay but this bunch of muppets totally messed up the seals, header seal was up and down like a fiddlers elbow, window seals were fitted to wrong sides of the car, everything was glued and they'd even managed to get that on the seats and bodywork. Returned the car to them and they did a slightly better job but the header seal was damaged due to removal and refitting.

After a couple of months I could no longer live with it and decided to see if Trim Tech could sort it out for me. Peter Randle was most helpful and even arranged to meet me at the factory so that I could drop off/pickup on consecutive weekends rather than take a day off work.

Unfortunately the hood and seals were write-off, Trim Tech fitted a whole new set including a reconditioned frame. Picked it up at the weekend and it looks superb, the fit is so good that the seals are hardly visible at all, drove back in the rain - no leaks.

If anyone is thinking of using a local fitter to fit one of these hood/seal kits I'd advise you think long and hard about it. You're trusting them with £600+ worth of hood/seals and as you've supplied it you've got very little comeback if they mess up.

Trim Tech offer great hospitality and service, they fit these things all the time, know what they are doing and are proud of their work. You'd be a fool (like me!) to risk your money elsewhere.

And what about us? non UK's? I'm from Portugal, and my elan leaks like if there is no soft top.. lol, the right window has almost 1cm of gap betwen the window and the ruber.. when i wash the car i can't throw watter directly cause it enters inside the car... all over the seat... is it a seal problem? or is it the top?

I don't know for sure but I would guess that your window needs adjusting.

These are all on a part-ex of your frame basis:

Refurbed frame (fitted to your car) with new canopy, seals, webbing etc £700 +VAT - 10% LEC discount. You will pay £740.25

Brand new frame (pick-up/delivered) with new canopy, seals, webbing etc £1125 +VAT - 12.5% LEC discount. You will pay £1156.64

Brand new frame (fitted to your car) with new canopy, seals, webbing etc £1400 +VAT - 15% LEC discount. You will pay £1398.25

Canopies are available in Black, Blue, Red & Green.

Their canopy & seals only service, alluded to earlier, remains extant.

was there an option for refurbed frame fitted?.....
just wondering about driving down unbolting the old one and swaping it there and then and then fitting the new/refurb one for the trip home....
or is the refurb option a refurb of yours (ie it takes them a week to strip ,fit, post etc etc)

They refurb one of the last frames in and you get it fitted to your car.
