SUMMER SOLSTICE @ Stevies CANCELLED.

Postby stevieshag » Tue 09.06.2009, 13:17

Summer solstice at stonehenge is fast approaching , it is the wknd of the 20th/21st.
With the sun rising at 4.45am on sunday morning. The stones are open for everyone, it is the only day of the year you can actually get up close.
What i am doing is a BBQ at mine on sat night (8ish), a walk to stonehenge at some point sunday morning (1/2hr walk from my house) to see the sun rise. Then breakfast.
I cannot offer accomodation to anyone!!
There is also limited parking.
This would be mainly for members who are happy to drive to mine do the bbq solstice etc & then drive home.
Local accomodation is available, but remember you will be out all night so you could be paying for a room you dont use.

you might need waterproofs as it does sometimes rain in uk.

Bring a Bottle..
Please add your name if you plan to attend.
Stevie.

So let me get this right. Are you saying that we basically stay up all night?
Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?

There's not much that gets past our Chris. :-D

Come on, Chris, you must remember when staying up all night was a fun thing to do. :poke:

Stevie,
Is there any taking off your clothes and dancing round in a circle, or ceremonies involving virgins?
If so, is that at Stonehenge or at your place?

Sorry I can't make it. Have fun.

Naked virgins running about Stonehenge sounds like a lot of fun. Bit far for me to come 9no pun intended :!: ) Stevie, and further for JohnW, otherwise I'd suspect we'd make an appearance. All in the interests of scientific research of course :!:

Well was just trying to keep the costs down, if you wanna book a room then its certainly an option.

Having bbq then retire to own quaters.

suggestions..

Well as Chris was the main interested party in doing the BBQ & solstice, & he unfortunately cannot participate in the event, we have decided to cancel the event, & have our own orgy at home dancing on some hot coals..

stevie & tracy who are not virgins..

Stevie,
Shame you've not had the interest. Nice try though.

Have a good time, but please don't post pictures. I don't think my constitution is up to viewing images of Stevieshag at a private orgy with blisters and scorch marks.

It is a shame...

Next year I will keep this date clear. Sounds like a bit of a hoot to me, something different (you don't often get that many virgins in one place). I'll even bring my apple and sage burgers for the BBQ...

Yeah but next year the 21st is on a monday so not as convenient as this year, still I guess that it will be packed out as consequence this year.

Really sorry to let you down Stevie as I was really keen to go to this. Tell you what how about an Autumn Solstice BBQ???

Or if you can't find an Autumn Solstice, you could try the Equinox !

Stevie,
Looks like you got good weather and had fun: BBC news item: "Chris.t misses out as crowds flock to solstice sunrise" . :-D

Can't see Stevieshag in the crowd though.
