Bottom Door Hinge (v rusty)

Has anybody replace the bottom door hinge? or do i need to look for a second hand door?
I dont want to touch it because I dont know how it is holding on

Sadly the hinge is intergral to the door, In the short term secondhand doors are readily available, but in the years to come I can envisage door skin removal and full disassembly will be required.

If the hinge has gone, it could be worth having a scan at the check strap mount (car side) it may be cacked running up the A post...

With the door open just below the bottom hinge in the wing well, you can see a clamping plate with two bolts going through. Ours are rusty. Are they easy to replace? Just remove and replace clamp and bolts? Are the nuts underneath fixed or are they going to fall into the sill and rattle for ever? Andy

If the plates are rusty there's a good chance the bolts will be seized, the receptacles are buggers to undo and replace...

A few hours work will remove them, replace with stainless steel bolts and plates...

When you say receptacles. Do you mean two nuts that are fixed to the body? The only problems i could foresee are getting the bolts undone. And getting a tool in the space to turn the bolts. I'm not sure if its the bolt that is fixed underneath or the nuts? I thought which ever was fixed i would have to leave that part in place. When you say a few hours is that to get the bolt undone? Or is there more to it then I'm thinking? Andy
