E1 LAN was mine  in the overflow carpark, don't know why we didn't get into the main carpark, they had some right rubbish in there - who let the white mazda mx5 in there  'supercar' my A*** :smt078
just had this email from goodwood :
Thanks for your email re yesterday's club. Sorry the parking process broke down a bit, we had arranged for additional marshals but I think the weather forecast caught us out as there wasn't the usual early morning rush and some not-so supercars slipped onto the grid/paddocks. We are sitting down tomorrow to work out what happened - maybe requiring pre-registration for all theme cars. Anyway, thanks for getting in touch, glad that you enjoyed the morning and we'll try and learn the lessons.

I got there quite early and had no trouble getting in the main carpark along with my mates 10 year 911 - Have to say we both sniggering as we dont class our cars as "Supercars" but we had a blat down from Guildford following a VX220 and as he ignored the signs for the public carpark thought we would chance our arm. No problem next meeting as the theme is 80 and 90S sportscars. As always a highly enjoyable event.

Specky,

You were clocked by Mrs Jacko yesterday morning. In a white Elan whose numberplate just read Elan SE, she said.

It was a handsome young chap, she said, but one who looked worried. Almost as though he had people after him, wondering about gear knobs.....

I thought my Elan was the only one on the Island until last week when I saw a red SE just outside of Newport at the traffic lights along Forest Road. Appeared to have an Island Reg ( J111 .... ) so unlikely to be a visitor to the Festival!

Anyone from LEC ?

That'll be Kieran then! (Kier on LEC).

His is the only Lime Green (Actually 'Pistacio') elan about and he lives down that way.

Edit - The old git beat me by a few seconds
