The Hope Motor Show has been run since 1904 by the Sheffield and Hallamshire Motor Club. This year its on Monday, 22nd June from 7pm. It takes place at The Travellers Rest, Brough Lane Head, Hope Valley (O/S map ref: 110:184/828, A625). Normally there is about 150 competition, vintage and classic cars and bikes to admire but the visitor's car park can be just as interesting. The pub runs a BBQ and its a great family evening.
I'll be there showing my Lotus off. Normally there are others there. Hope some of you can come.
Regards

Guess I'd best bring the Elan into work, and we'll have a 'mini convoy' to the show
Cheers,
Martin.

Sounds Good.
I've attached a copy of the Show's Exhibitor Response Form in case you or anybody else wants to show their Lotus off.

I'm on for the serpentine.
I've just got to sort out whether to come with Martin as navigator or drive my own Elan.

Do I sense some sort of an incestuous northern thing going on here?
Good post Gary - nice to see some 'new' attractions being attended.

The post code is S33 9HG
for the Sat Nav I'm guessing? I remember the days when an Ordnance Survey map reference was all you needed!

I got my Show No. today, in the post. It's No. 173.
So I guess this means the show's on for Monday evening, 22nd June.
See you there... fingers crossed for good weather.

A very successful night. Great weather for the 5th year running helped. It was the best attended show to date with over 300 exhibitors and two fields full of show goers.
Good to see a black Elan SE (Reg: J*** UMO) in the car park.

Gary,
We called at your cars three times but you must have been in the beer queue

Alas not ....
But that's the downside of a car show...... a strictly alcohol-free drive home
(Good roads for the journey home though

)
Sorry we missed you !
Martin.
