Camping 21st-24th August

Postby nicowalker1 » Sat 20.06.2009, 10:59

Hi, just a post to see whether anyone would be interested in doing a couple of nights camping and good road hunting in North Wales on the above dates.
If theres some intrest ill start ringing campsites and planning routes etc...

Lots of BBQ's and beers would be on the cards i think. :D

ill start a list purely for 'i may be interested' then ill take it from there. Also if you have any ideas for things to do places to see feel free to pm me them

Cheers

I think Nick was just gauging interest before planning anything further. Suggestions welcome.

I may also have access to 'facilities' depending on how many people are going...:)

Nick: I think the others are hinting that we all have posted our locations in our profiles  (even though mine is a little cryptic).
I've booked the Friday/Monday off work too.

1) nicowalker1 - W Yorks (I think, please amend if wrong, Nick)
2) ShaunM - Norwich
3) rip - Milton Keynes
4) G UK - Notts
5) theelanman - Peak DIstrict

That sounds like M6 J20
Graham, I can drive up the M1 to Nottingham & meet you somewhere around there.
Are there any roads you would like to include when getting to M6 J20? Snake or Woodhead pass for instance?
I also quite like the idea of joining the M6 at J15. That tightening curve ending with the ridiculously short slip road is my twisted idea of fun!

The evo triangle is an awesome road and i do this route regular as part of our Wales run with the 350.
Bala lake is also a good place for a stop.
