15 to go and gearing up in earnest. Plenty of stuff going on on the Isle that weekend but we have very long days to make use of it. All of the roads may be busier at times but we'll have to work round it.
I'm going to pre book some restaurants due to busy times and hopefully we'll all be able to eat together. May avoid the curry house this year and go for a Chinese [Maxine not able to do Indian food] and parking for 9 cars more difficult there.
The local Plod are looking at us getting together for a meet in Ramsey over the weekend- I'll keep you posted.

Which route are you planning to use to get into Liverpool ? Are you going to drive the extra 20 miles, or so, to the M56, where our rich cousins from the South are going or are you thinking of the more direct route for you ? e.g. the M58 ?

I have no idea maybe do M56 but depends on times and where to get breakfast willing to go with the flow.

It would be good if the whole party could meet up on the M56 but, if the that proves a few miles too far for you, I would be happy to meet up towards end of your journey (M58 or wherever) and travel into Liverpool together as a convoy of two.

Also I've ordered a camera for use in car which I'm hopeing will arrive in time allowing me to get some action video over the weekend and also checked when I booked the trackday that I would be able to use it there as well.

Being new on this trip I'll go a couple of miles down the road where I'll meet up with Paul and follow him!

In the absence of Paul W (he's moving house this week, so far too busy for all this.....), I should think that breakfast at Stafford my be a good plan! (or is there a cafe at Asda, which may be better for the northerners?).

Either way, Stafford is a couple of hours up the road (according to Autoroute), so leaving home about 7 looks likely.

I would think around about 20 additional motorway miles, compared with your most direct route.

About time I started plotting what I'm doing .

I'll be coming over the Cat & Fiddle to Macclesfield, up the A537 to Knutsford joining the M6 at Junction 19. That should allow me to meet people at Runcorn.

There is a cafe at Asda but by the time we get to Stafford we'll have been on the road for 3 hours and think we may eat there. Besides I've been to the Runcorn Asda before!- Don't fancy leaving my car alone there. By the time we get to Runcorn we need to fill up and get nearer to the ferry.

In case anyone misses the rv's we'll be going into Liverpool on the A561 but when you get into Aigburth its a sharp left turn into Otterspool Road and thereby onto the marine drive and Dock Road which leads to the ferry and avoids the town centre traffic.

Have heard from the Seloc crowd who were there last weekend- they had a great time. They were met in Douglas by Stuart of LEF and Inspector Derek Flint.
