Essex Porsche Club BBQ 14th July 2009

Postby Dave Eds » Thu 23.04.2009, 22:37

Dico, DaveT, rip and I attended this last year with some of the LEF boys. A thoroughly good evening it was too!

So who else is up for it this year?

Dear Car Club Organiser,

This is to advise you that the Essex region of the Porsche Club will, again, be holding their barbeque at Regiment Way Golf Centre, Pratt's Farm Lane, Little Waltham, Chelmsford CM3 3PR, on 14th July, 2009, starting at 7.30p.m. We extend an invitation to all your members to make the barbeque a memorable occasion where your cars will be parked in marques and it will be an opportunity to meet with fellow petrol heads from other car clubs. If possible, we hope to break the record 220 cars that we have achieved in the past.

Best wishes,

Martyn

I've put it in my calendar but I don't know when or where I'm working that day.
I'll go if I can...

I'd like to go, but my Elan has protested. I doubt it will be running in time for this.

So there was me, SimonH, a couple with an N reg 81k mile NMY for sale for £11k, and a local guy with a Medina whose name escapes me (Brian?), but who recognised me from a couple of years ago when I showed him the good and the bad of high and low milers. Had a chat about my R888s and how much grip they don't have on a wet golf course!

Oh and for the purist golfers amongst you, a lady Elise driver was the only one to park on a green FFS.
