After the I>O>M weekend which was fun and after some interest in scotland i thought okay lets do this, date possibly july or august with camping and hotels for all tastes with a track run on knockhill which will have to be a friday or monday unless a sat morn is possible, all very loose at mo,but will include applecross, skye,dukes pass ,loch lomond any castles on route will include any popular requests length of trip friday to get here- monday to go back it,could mean a possible 1500 miles for some with a track day so will look at some sort of spares carry, dapinky can not be expected to carry us every trip!!!!!!!! so thats it folks its up to you now.

Aaaaaah well - that's Ok then Thought it might be too little time left to organise this year.

Don't forget to include BigErch at Gairnshiel Lodge (between Braemar and Ballater) He's a great guy and got an excellent pad - a former shooting lodge going back to about the Jacobite rebellion era. And the roads round there are brilliant - particularly the switchback up the Devil's Pass south of Braemar and the roads around Cockbridge/Tomintoul. Whisky trail just north of Tomintoul on the Glenlivet loop. Even one in Royal Ballater on Archies doorstep (he's the only LEC member that I know that can claim a Royal Warrant - he does the Queen's laundry for Balmoral

You might find that a few of us fellow Scots (ie Ronnie, Andy, John W, AB2CV, me, Farran, Dave, Stevo, Scott etc...) may well join up for a day or 2 of excellent driving and slurping of the 'ole cratur'

okay yes sounds great have you got contact details or can u see if he would be kind enough to get involved, any ideas from people up here would be great, just to let you know this was a conversation after a few drinks and so i thought sounds really good so lets try to get something organised, so any surpport or help from us locals will be great. Just a quick one who owns the medina green car seen in edinburgh near hilton grosvenor yesterday.

He has a BRG M100 and a yellow Esprit and I'm sure would like a visit from any Lotus lovers. He does rooms with full catered packages but might not be adverse to a few campers who wanted to drink his bar dry. I may see him at the GlenIsla car show in a few weeks time. Or perhaps up at Motor Mania in Grantown.

okay looking july i know le man classic or august for a run meet start at edinburgh allowing all to get up on friday, stay possibly up near trossachs some night runs on dukes past, then on to bramar area if number allow speak to an owner on here who has a lodge up there if not b and b on sunday long drive to west to applegcross pass of the cattle very good road scenery splendid brakes need to be top notch to enjoy this to full potential, stay over at applecross or neart at plonkton, then south to glasgow,stirling so friday to mon pm i will see whos interested and what month so post interest and jul or aug and as soon as i have more than three cars not including me i will start ball rolling. Any one wanting a track may be able to organise on friday but need to speak to some friends to see if we can sneak onto an organised thing.

just allowing for a day up there and a day back.......or planning longer??...

Yes i have looked at mileages and it could be brutal on both drivers and cars so we will do thursday through tuesday with some flexibility for others to join and leave at will i am looking at two dates but will confirm once i have looked when all are availible will post dates at week end with a plan and prices by end of april as parking is never a problem up here places definite are 1.dukes pass trossachs
2.stirling castle
3. pass of the cattle applecross
4. Bramar queens view
5.aviemore cairngorm train thing
6. tomitoul
and all those roads inbetween with hopefully a stay at the lodge in bramar area. any requests for a certain place like the comando monument we will stop there not to be missed will if possible be accomadated.
