Hi folks - just back from a week blasting around Scotland in the Elan (which performed spectacularly), so now it's time to start thinking about the next big thing.
Let me get this straight - is this an accurate representation of attendees status so far?
If not please correct as necessary, and don't worry if you're a bit late signing up to the party so far - there's still time to get involved.

Neil,
I'm going to be struggling to do this now as my head gasket has gone :censored: . I may still be able to get it fixed in time depending on how busy the garage is and how long it takes the parts to arrive.

If necessary I could still have a run down in the Rover and meet you there.

Er, yes. I should read my own posts - or at least look at a calendar once in a while!
Suitably amended.

Here comes the (slightly amended) plan:
Enright wrote:The date for our visit is Saturday 25th July. For a group booking of between 10 and 15 people the admission price comes down to £5.00 each (or £4.50 each if we end up with 15 or more bodies), so I asked them to pencil in 15 TBC.

This will include a photo opportunity on the port side of the Lancaster with the cars parked up against it. 8)

Rendez-vous at my place in Nottingham being as it's nice and central to set off at 9am.
Then travel out to Eask Kirkby taking in my favourite twisty B-road route through Notts & Lincs and arriving just before 11am.
This is because the Lancaster is usually taxied on a Saturday at 11am & 1.30pm (journey time is just under 2 hours, so although 10am would be a more sociable time to depart, if we did we would miss the earlier taxiing session).
For those whom a detour to Nottingham is too inconvenient, the fun really starts shortly after Newark when we turn off the A17 towards Stapleford.
So you can come off the A1 at the A46 North Newark junction, then meet the rest of us at the services on the A46/A17 roundabout, approx 9.30am.
Between (or after) the taxi runs/fitting in the photo opportunity we can browse round the museum, ooing and aahing at old bits of bent WW2 aircraft and enjoying the on-site facilities - it's really rather good, very authentic.
I will be continuing onto Skegness late afternoon, and participants can then either follow me the rest of the way or head back home by their preferred route.

Oh, I'm going to need to know who wants to set off from my house with me (and so who to send details to), and who plans to rendez-vous en route at the services on the A46/A17 roundabout. Please try to either confirm your preference by updating the list today/tomorrow, or PMing me - thanks. :D

I'll probably meet up with Spud & Nobby, but I haven't arranged this with them yet.
Unless G UK wants a lift (the offer is still open), then I'll be picking him up.

Would it be OK if I just turned up at East Kirkby on Saturday?
Sorry to be vague but I may have to work if some other people can't fix a problem after close of business on Friday.
