Yeah, that was quite frightening seeing the replay of the spring hitting Massa just above the visor

Fingers crossed that Massa pulls through ok

Missed F1 today, why doesn`t the Beeb have the high lights on tonight

Highlights were on BBC3 at 7pm, so if you're out for the day & not back until mid-evening, you'll need to record it.
Nice to see LH enjoying himself again.
Renault get a ban from the next GP for sending Alonso out with a wheel they knew was dangerous.

It is very unfortunate, but i think incidents like this are inevitable in a sport like F1, because its breaking unknown ground every week, i actually think they have made mammoth steps forward in safety, lets hope these are just one offs, & that Massa makes a full recovery.

Agreed. However I think even if he makes a "full" recovery, we won't see him racing an F1 car again

On Sunday I was standing right next to Murray Walker at Silverstone as Lewis Hamilton crossed the line. He was absolutely delighted with Lewis' win and promptly signed my programme. I said to him "we could've done with your commentary" to which he returned a big grin. Nice bloke.

I also thought it was crazy seeing the wheel spat spin out of control and a moment later seeing the wheel fly off!

And nobody is going to mention that Michael Schumacher is back ??

Yea, wonder if it really was his neck, or if he was just not fast enough ?

Although I never did like MS I'd have loved to see him come back to F1 to see how he'd match up to some of the drivers and cars of today

I'd wager it's not his neck, it's something else (likely his ego at most likely losing the races)

mmmmmmmmm wonder what Oliver has to say on that one. Had a feeling it was true as i couldn`t see why Nelson Piquet Jr would lie and put his head on the block.

Personley Renault should be kick out off all motorsport for such an action, wonder how much Alonso had known about this before and after the fact :?

What the hell is Eddie Irvine going on about, another f`ing tit, has no one got any honour or integrity anymore. Thats one of the reasons i don`t follow football cause there all spoilt scumbags.

But Irvine says that this matter is the latest in a long list of rules that have been bent in the sport over the years.

ANDREW BENSON'S BLOG
The allegation has rocked F1 to the core

"This is probably slightly on the wrong side of the cheating thing but in days past every team have done whatever they could to win - cheat, bend the rules, break the rules, sabotage opponents," he claimed. "This is just the FIA going on a crusade."

The Northern Irishman also believes that if Renault are found guilty, the FIA will deal with them leniently.
