If there's one left..........

I'm still ever-so-slightly miffed that my cheque "didn't arrive", so that mine ended up being sold to Spud.

Mr J if you really need one, you can purchase my spare.

It's not really spare it's for the N/A but that's not in any rush.

If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The N/A-Team.

... and I'm getting a bit tired of your inference that it had something to do with me: I asked for payment to reach me before Donington. I told you I hadn't got your cheque. I posted on the forum for people to get their arses in gear and get their money to me. I posted that spares were running out rapidly and the only way of guaranteeing one was to make sure I had the money. What more could I do?

Geoff,
My being miffed (or perhaps just disappointed) has more to do with the feeling that because a cheque hadn't been received (for whatever reason, and I infer and imply nothing about that) then I clearly wasn't good for £10 and that the valve allocated could thus safely be sold on. I just know that I posted the bleeding thing and had to write to my bank to get it cancelled before some ne'er do well in the Gloucester or Oxford sorting office tried to do something with it.

I notice that by the time my order 21 had been reallocated and Dave Eds (and there is no-one I would rather have benefited from this) had paid for valve no.21 neither Ailwyn nor Nige had paid.

I have no real problem with looking after the mods/admins/longstanding members/the inner sanctum, so I suppose I'm just being pissy.

But the point of my post was just in case someone had changed their mind, and in case there was one lurking spare at Castle Geoffers. Precious little chance of that after inadvertently tweaking your tail, I guess....

Specky,

Kind offer, matey! But mine hasn't failed yet, and yours isn't, as you say, exactly spare. However, if anyone did buy one just to keep on a shelf, mine does seem to be on its way out.

FYI, the annotation "payment en-route" was a reminder for me when balancing the books and means that either a) neither Ailwyn nor Nige bothered to read my PM or b) paid immediately without having to be chased as there were three deposits for £20 straight into the kitty with the helpful transaction details, I00000000000259094, I00000000000260328 & I00000000000288393. All bar yours had been paid for by the time Dave asked if there were any unclaimed and as Ailwyn said on the 18th April, "How about getting your list up to date?" - I will when I can find the time and inclination, both of which are in extremely short supply at the moment.

I have locked this thread as I do not wish to participate in joyful banter at the moment.

Right, who's in for a second group buy? Unless we get 50+ names, it may not be so cheap but I will do my best and will get a price when we get close to 20 names on the list.

That's the one, but it won't be as much as that!

7. Filler

Phil, are you sure you want 3?

Just a reminder: This replaces the rusty pile of crap that stops the hot water reaching the heater matrix during the Summer, thereby stopping the heater from blowing cold. If you've got these symptoms, this should cure them.

I haven't got these symptoms at the moment but I can guarantee that if I don't buy one, I will immediately have them and it'll be too late. :(
