Thanks sincerely for the offer, Algirdas. I ended up buying plastic ones from Dave Bean and SJ. I was just hoping to save others the acute pain in the wallet I experienced.

I went that route before. I was completely LIVID when I received those three pieces of plastic, looked at the invoice and saw how #*^%*-ing much I paid for something that looks like it was made by a couple of sixth graders in shop class. That caused me to waddle on down to my favorite sheet metal works and have them make a set of originals in stainless. This way, the next time I need a set of those cheap plastic pieces of crap, I can travel back in time to my 6th grade shop class days after a quick trip to Hobby Lobby for materials.

You are probably wondering how I really feel about this. . .

My 'other idea' was to hold the strip in place with s/s penny washers. Works a treat, although I did use a piece of slotted steel about 20cm long in the middle because one of the mounts was missing.

Dear Luluchiboy:

The international call won't kill you. Sign up for Skype's call out service and you can make calls to the UK from your computer relatively cheap.

Last I checked, Walker Rubber does not have online ordering.

Shipping to the US via slow boat should be about $12 and take a week or two. This does not include customs duties which should be negligible. Just make sure they don't send it via expedited service. That will cost you several times the amount of the part.

Alternatively, you could just get one from Dave Bean in California. I'd be curious to know what he is charging for them these days.

it seems like the A100B0701K Plate Center is now obsolete wherever i'm asking for it.
Do you have an idea of where to find one out?

Or does anybody have a technical drawing for it?
Unfortunately, i never got this part on my car...
