I have provisionally booked the Hen & Chickens for the Southern Area Xmas lunch. This is open to all LEC members as we work on the 'more the merrier' principle. I have reserved 16 places but did advise the H&C that this is more than likely to increase. I would get your names down early for this as it proves to be popular and we're not the only ones using the pub on that day. I will be in contact with the pub on a regular basis to assess how busy the pub is getting for that day.

Breaking News: Just come back from Hospital: Son2 has injured his foot Karate training so cannot go to Karate grading on Sunday, whic means he's keen to come along on Sunday as well (rather than starve in a cold, empty house...). Have left a message with the H&C to see whether they will add one to the group.

(1 in repair, 1 in the garage being mended (alternator/starter motor) and one as garage decoration for the longer term, they say things comne in three's!)

very enjoyable lunch with everyone, I'm now feeling decidedly fat at the moment. Will definitely have to do something about the crackers though, they just weren't worth banging frankly! Trip back was ok but we did get rained on so after your smug comment Jim unfortunately you still haven't lost your reputation Hopefully Stevie will get back to us with a date at his 'convenience' soon!
