ANNUAL SCOTTISH LOTUS CONCOURS d’ ELEGANCE

Postby BigErch » Thu 08.10.2009, 10:23

Hi fellow Clan McElan'ers,

here's the latest club Lotus event at Boness. I'm sponsoring the newer car trophy (I think there's 2 sections now cause Andrews M100 won at calendar a few years back - this did not please the "classic" boys). Anyway, I'm working so i can't be there but it'd be nice if there were some M100s to hold the side up.

cheers, Arch

DETAILS:

ANNUAL SCOTTISH LOTUS CONCOURS d’ ELEGANCE

SUNDAY 25 OCTOBER AT BO’NESS MOTOR MUSEUM

The programme for the above is currently being put together but will be designed to cover Lotus models old and new. The idea is that the day will be split into two sessions, one catering for classic Lotus models up to 1988-9 and the other for models up to the present. Like wise the concours will be judged in two categories, split along the same lines, with the sponsor for the early cars being Mike Stewart of Performance Engines at Errol (Airfield) near Perth (01821 642576) and for the later cars Archie Buchanan, Lotus enthusiast (M100 and Peter Stephen’s Esprit) and proprietor of Gairnshiel Hunting Lodge (used by Victorian hunting parties but now catering for house parties / holidays etc) near Ballater in Deeside (WWW.GAIRNSHIELLODGE.CO.UK or 013397 55582). Special discount for anyone turning up at Gairnshiel in a Lotus model of any kind.

My Gosh,
Only in scotland can we organise a spot the best car in the worse weather sorry mine will stay stored so yet again the loser is the scottish region of lotus owners, its not a condition thing its road tax and insurance for me to put two cars on the road for one weekend at the end of october will cost me upwards of £300 with policy admendments and the like, so come on think about it guys, lets try may/jume july next year please. :?

Sorry Archie - can't make the Concours D'Elegance due to being up in your neck of the woods for my birthday w/e. I'm sure the Collapso Red would have scored a few points though !

No such luck Alan. You have a purple car and all those Lotus afficionados will mark you down for this as it wasn't an original Lotus colur LOL

PS Sounds like your Fellatio Purple is spending more time in the garage than Dico's ;-)

Why does Dico want an uprated turbo when it'll still be in his garage this time next year :?: Yet another thing to gather dust :poke:

PS Monty - if I PM you with a list, can you strip off a few bits for me - old silver'll never notice :!: :!:
