The full details are on the "convoy" thread, but for ease they are:-

"the Hilton Puckrup Hall Hotel which is 0.5 miles from M50 J1 on the A38 heading for Tewkesbury.

http://www.hilton.co.uk/tewkesbury?WT.srch=1 , post code GL20 6EL, 52.1'.42" N; 2.9'.51" W.

The show ground is 9 miles away on easy roads."

Although still Elanless, (I could probably fit Neils turbo but would then have to strip it back off to fit my new one not long after!!) I will still probably be attending albeit in the Rover.

Many thanks for the welcome given to Belinda and myself at our first LEC event and for the excellent advice - especially to the gentleman at the stand, (sorry - there were too many names to remember), who suggested that, before attempting to remove our "faulty" fuel sender unit it might be an idea to give it a bit of a thump, just in case the float had got stuck.

Three moderate taps with a rubber mallet later and hey presto, we have a fully functioning fuel gauge again!!!

We didn't see any collection tin on the stand, (perhaps we were not looking hard enough), but would happily make a donation to LEC funds if someone could let me have an address to send it to....or remind us at the next event.

With best regards,

Martin & Belinda, (in the other white car).

Good to see familiar folks and some new people as well yesterday. The Elans were in the majority compared to other types of Lotus (I counted 15), so a good effort by all who made it. Thanks to the 2 Geoffs for sorting out the RV and the convoy in, LEC arrived in style as usual :D . Nothing much for sale on any of the stands to be honest and I thought the event was quite a bit smaller that the previous sales at Stoneleigh. Alan Morgan of CL told me at the end that he thought it was OK'ish.

I had an event free run home (thank goodness) and thanks to everyone for the sympathy, advice and of course the totally expected and entirely deserved p**s taking  .

"ish" being the operative word.
