Le Mans 2010 - Tommy's thread

Tommy Posted on 28 Sep 09

Is there any interest in a group booking for the 24hr leaving from Plymouth camping on the trackside etc. etc.etc.

I've been tidying up the Major Lotus events section as I put in the Lotus show details for next year and had to delete Tommy's Le Mans thread as it would not move correctly. The following posts have been cut and pasted in so the original posts are not lost.

Tommy I've been to Le Mans for the past 17 years without fail and it's a great event, there is some doubt that I will be there next year owing to circumstances beyond my control, it'll be shame to break my run but so be it.

If you want to go next year then at this stage you are almost certainly going to need to get your camping tickets through one of the tour operators (race entry tickets are not a problem as they can be bought on the gate when you get there) as they are difficult to get at this stage even though the race dates have not yet been decided . However buying just camping tickets through a tour operator may not be straightforward as they would prefer to sell you a package (which is easy but not cheap). Keep an eye on www.lemans.org for the race dates to be published (usually the second or third weekend in Jun) and if you do want to go I strongly recommend you get a provisional order for camping tickets into the ACO (the organising club, details on the website) as soon as possible.
