Okay, I've lived in Northern California for 7 years now, and have only seen Elans under arranged circumstances.
Well it just so happens I have seen 2 red Elans in the last week.
One southbound on the 101 in Santa Rosa a week ago, and the other on Trancas in Napa at 7am last Thursday.
both times my eye spotted the Elan's shape at least 1/4 mile away!

About midday today, BRG northbound on the A322 just south of M3 jct 3. I waved, but don't think I was spotted in my Calypso SE on the other side of the road...

Yay! Spotted at last!

Were you in your Elan? I didn't spot one, although I did see a beautiful blue Elise.
