Wednesday & Thursday

Possibly dinner at http://www.pescadosseafood.com Pescados seafood seems like it would be a good place. It was recommended by a local Lotus owner.

Anyone up for a get together?

I called EuroClassics of Richmond, VA again. Plans have firmed up.

There will be an open house, with drinks and snacks, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday January 27th. At that time they will be taking reservations to drive the Evora the next day 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Thursday January 28th.

Dean, what is your anticipated arrival for this event?
I will attend rain or shine. What night is dinner and I hope this involves beer.

We (my wife and I) are planning on arriving at 6:00 PM on Wednesday. Dinner on Wednesday night sometime and somewhere based on the consensus of the group. Pescados seems like it would be nice but a bit pricey compared to our usual fare.

It is a 1.5 hour drive for us. I have to do some scheming. I hate the thought of working 6:00 AM - 2:30 driving 1.5 hours, schmoozing for 2 hours, 1 hour dinner and 1.5 hour drive back. That would make it a 5:00 AM - 11:00 day for me.

We hope to get drives on Thursday. We both have to work in the morning so it all depends on scheduling. Since it the drives will take place throughout the day on Thursday we may hang out some.

I don't know if we will be driving the M100 or the Honda Fit. Maybe the Fit on Wednesday and the M100 on Thursday.

Hope to see some of you folks at the Evora open house on Wednesday. When I last talked to someone from the dealership it seemed that there will be a good turnout.

Wednesday was a nice event. A fair amount of enthusiast people showed up and were treated to a nice spread of food and drink while viewing and fondling the Evora. Two Elans showed up. The nice one, on the left belongs to Steve see Got run over by a truck

We met up again on Thursday. My wife got a ride and I got to drive the Evora, nice. Steve was good enough to deliver some parts from his wrecked car. They will live on in our car.

We had an 80 mile drive to the dealership. One guy drove a bit further to see and drive the Evora. Lotus are pretty rare over here.

Excellent photos! It's always a special treat to see two or more Elans in one place in North America. Makes my heart sing! And you caught the Evora from an angle I've not seen photographed before. The rear quarter shot is a keeper. Good job! Now if we can get an Elan and Evora next to each other, pointing the same direction, Lotus newcomers will understand the Evora's styling DNA.

I don't think I ever mentioned this but... A convertible version of the Evora could entice me away from the M100. My wife would trade me and the M100 for a convertible Evora.
