The journey home wasn't fun - aquaplane city and I've got loads of tread. Scary, and the carpets still haven't dried out yet!
Bit of a bugger about it being last night, but hey ho, maybe next time.
The colour coding could all have gone horribly wrong and made us look like a right bunch of saddos or worked spectacularly.
Personally I think the latter, but then I would say that wouldn't I! :lol:

Not to abandon this thread but I'm on Fire Duty this weekend and on the Isle of Man the weekend after so will not be able to do this month.

Anybody else wanting to attend be they new or old feel free to organise and I'll keep the thread title updated. The normal date and time would be Sunday 12th July @ 13:00 and the venue has kind of defaulted at The Hutt unless anyone wishes to try somewhere different.

I just thought I would warn people so one of the other regulars may want to take up the reigns for a month and try and attract some of the other locals.

Edit: I've now been told about 2 other local elans in the local area not to mention one who has been on the forum but I cant remember his name and has now vanished from the forum despite me driving past his house most days

Hi All,

Anyone scrathing to do something this Saturday night could do a lot worse than coming to the Red House pub in Nether Broughton, LE14 3HB. Situated amongst Leicestershires finest driving roads, i suggest a good hard drive down the country lanes beofre returning to the pub for a refreshing drink and stay for the party.

I am driving my old 730i BM from Calais to Barcelona in this years Bangers to Barcelona rally, and this is the launch party. We have a kicking live band, a bucking bronco (like an elan with a snapped rear wishbone!) and an auction for things normally not available. These range from presenting a show on the radio for 1 hour, to signed sports memorabilia, to having your portrait photo taken wearing £1m of diamonds! That is ladies only, unless the bid is big enough! All monies raised from this event and our rally go to a local hospice, Loros (see http://www.loros.co.uk for details).
