Meeting with Kimbers at Birchanger Services J8 M11 at 7.30am. Yellow Exige and a yellow Elan, anyone else coming out to play?

and that's without the TVRs

"Following a brief encounter between my Esprit and a Tamora on the roads around Brands (that was a lot of fun!) Richard and I thought it would be nice to hold a joint meeting of machinery. It's all British, it's all plastic and it all goes fast as stink so it should be fun and Richard is an active Pistonheads event organiser so it will be a joint TLF/Pistonheads meeting.

It's also very important that there are more Lotus than TVR so get your car out of the garage, let's not let them show us up!

Venue:

Colin Chapman Way (yes, that's right), Brands Hatch. We'll be parking up next to the Kentagon restaurant for a nice brekkie.

Time & Date:

8.30-9am - Sunday 31st January

We'll have a nice brekkie and chat, kick some tyres then at about 11am head out with the TVR's for a nice scenic drive through Kent ending up at a suitable location for lunch. Great way to spend the day, get involved"

Hope you can make it James - even if only part of the day!

I think I will. I'll decide on Saturday night. The trouble is that I have a very sick son and may have to cry off at the last minute. I'll post here if I'm not coming. If I do come I'll be at Birchanger by 7:30.

Jeez that was one cold morning, even for the unique micro climate that Brands seems to have.

Met up at Birchanger with James (Vague Shot) and Beady from TLF, in his white Evora. Sadly Kimbers was unable to join us as his battery was fooked.

Driving in to Brands spotted one other Elan - Mike MPx (in his Mustard S2) who'd driven up from Somerset, staring out at 5am. Good effort Mike!

3 M100's - all Yellow!

Tom E (ex BRG Elan) was there in his Elise, as well as a good turnout from LEF in Esprits and Elises (Bibs, PaulC, GKP, Cliff and some) , one or two ((15 to 20) TVRs, a Lambo, an Aston, couple of 7's, a new type Europa,Trevsked in his Alpine GTA ,and a few other marques as well.

Jeez that was one cold morning,.......

Yooos not kiddin Dave. Set of as a softie with the roof up for a couple of hours or so.....but decided it had to come off at the last services so that I could arrive rock hard. Big mistake! Froze half to death in less than 30 minutes, and arrived first so noone to witness ! Then put the hood up in the car park before anyone else turned up! Oh well...fantastic drive up through the dawn ...and even faster going back - getting home by half two. Great cars and excellent company as always. A perfect way to spend a Sunday morning! Some pics
