other suspects?

Interestingly I've just received an email from the Parts boys at Hethel.... :(

Part is obsolete & we will not be re-ordering

So this makes me wonder...... Who has them on back order? What is thier source?

I wonder what the kia elan/vigato uses?

I'm still working on a solution though....

when i went into stratton motor company, robert chapman in parts dept said there was about 30 on back order, i'm none the wiser, and still pivot free

...but blue-tack is useless for this task. The mirror keeps drooping & you can't adjust it.

Christ, if it's still open, I need one. Not as a 'spare' but because one of my mirrors is already blu-tacked!

Ah nothing in life is simple - I've discovered I don't need one - the plastic on the mirror has broken so I need the glass not the pin - £35 as opposed to £4.50 damn - still - all on order!

so......I've put Jackinicko's name in place of mine,
Mr Specks - keep the money I sent but send the pin to Jackinoko - he'll be contacting you with details

Bob's your uncle, Fanny's your aunt, bish bash bosh, all sorted

By the way - Bell and Colevill in Surrey don't have pins either.

One option for anyone else......on Fleabay
SW lotus are doing LH LHD wing mirror for £70 delivered - whilst the whole item won't fit directly on a RHD car without canabalising the old mirror for the quarterlight cover and possibly other bits, you would get - glass, motor, wiring loom and 2 pins which will fit both sides - just a thought for anyone else who needs bits.
