By the way - just incase the instructions are missing - you shouldn't need to do any drilling etc to fit these - all you do is remove the screws that hold the map holder in place and put them back with the bracket inbetween, the deflector attaches to the bracket - should take around 10 minutes, unless you have a screw loose/missing etc.

Fitted the blocker saturday and it's instantly a calmer place when on the dual carriageway. My girlfriends hair used to fly about beforehand so she's a lot happier now.
It does spring about after 60mph but it seems secure enough.

Spring is in the air.......

Last year I managed to negotiate a £50 discount on the Classic Addition Wind Blocker - I've got one myself and all I can say is they're pretty good - for those with hair (not me then) it makes the drive less blustery, and means you can also drive in cooler weather, and even manage a conversation a bit easier - there's no drilling involved - the deflector fits in the screw holes which attach the map holder and so, assuming the screws come out easily - it's a 10 minute fit and the map holder is still useable - it's also easily removeable - couple of thumb screws, and the roof can still go on with the blocker in place.

The only downside that anyone has said is that for some people (including myself), there is a slight loss of rear view because the frame of the deflector can sit directly in the line of site of the rear view mirror - depending on how tall you are - however I have got used to it, someone did re-drill the bracket holes which did cure it (I think)

To repeat an earlier post, I'm a big fan of the wind deflector. I reckon it has improved my fuel consumption by 1-2 mpg, there's noticeably much less wind and wind noise, and most importantly, whereas my wife was previously quite reluctant for us to use the Elan (something to do with her hair!), she's now happy to come along.

Spoken to Classic Additions and cost to the States is as follows:

Wind Deflector £117,
postage £50 which is tracked and insured,
they can just stick it in the post which will save on postage but will be at your risk if it doesn't arrive.

They also said that as long as they are delivered to one address in the US, the cost of shippping up to 5 deflectors will be the same - ie £50.
