Getting there from the SE on Saturday

I'll be looking at heading from M40 J11 at about 7am & driving on the A422 which should get me to the convoy rendezvous by about 8.30.
Anyone want to tag along for a drive together?

Edit: A422 is too slow, twisty & long. Normally good, but not if I want to get to Malvern by 8.30.
Maybe M40/M42/M5? Not as interesting though

Not a pretty route, but quickest as it will mean leaving at the crack of a sparrows as it's a 3 hour run to get to Malvern

Aiming at about 8am for M40/M42 jctn but it is dependant on leaving on time, traffic, road works etc as it is only 30 mins to Malvern from there.

BTW Karen (who purchased the blue Elan with our help for her Husband back end of last year) and Andy are hoping to make the show and Alan (club lotus) has reserved a space directly opposite the halls to save Andy the walk.

How about meeting up at Corley services on the M6? Corley is just after J3, between Coventry & the M42.
Corley is about 15-20 minutes away from M42/M40 so aim for 7.40-7.45 No need to hang about there; just meet up & carry on.

Great news about Karen and Andy. I phoned Karen abour 2 weeks ago and was told they would not make it as Andy was not doing so well. Taken a turn for the better now. Hope it continues.

Google says 1 hour 4 mins to M40/M42 junction, so to get there about the same time as Bob, 6.50 at J14 should give us 5 minutes to spare.

Was planning on leaving at 6 but seems will have to be about 5.40 now. Rip will ring when close and maybe do a rolling meet on M1.

Gazza to pick up Rip junction 14 M1 and we should be able to pick you up at junction19 M1/M6 around 7:30 ish
According to Google Gazza's to Junction 19 is 1hr 40mins, 100miles, mine is 1hr 30mins 80miles, roundabout city Rips house to Junction 19 is 43mins 40miles.
If Gazza is leaves at 05:40 then he will be at junction 14 for about 06:50 and junction 19 for 07:20
If I leave at 06:00 then can plan to be at Junction 19 for 07:20
Then on to Malvern retail park which is another 67miles or 1hr 12mins so we should arrive at 08:30

Now all this assumes we drive at the speeds set in google and that is possibly not the case so all will probably be early but it does allow some lee way, I think last time I planned to meet people at Junction 19 I ended up ahead of them as it did not take 1hr 30mins to get to Junction 19 more like 1hr 10mins.
