Good pics Dave thanks for posting. The more I see of the Evora the more I like it, just the front 3/4 view makes it seem a bit heavy above the rear wheels (too much body panel above the wheel arch) apart from that I just need a posting where I can buy a tax exempt car (ended up with my S2 last time).

That orange Evora (E6 ACL) belongs to Andrew Laing from Scotland. It was the 2nd off the production line and the 1st to get its 1000 mile service at Hethel. He picked it up one day, drove to Scotland and back down to Hethel the next day before gettingits 1st service Back tyres have now done 8K miles and are close to the 1.6mm wear treads

Andrew also has an Esprit v8 and a supercharged Elise in his collection

To all those who missed the Sunday event - it was much better than Saturday Much more to look at, albeit less Lotus' and Elan's in general. There were only about 10 of us in the main marquee

"there weren't many babes around on Sat". I didn't see any. Where were the LEC models. Is Club Lotus a bunch of old duffers discussing donuts for their garbage 1960's kit cars. Bring on the Formula 1 dancing girls I say, its 2010, not 1963.

Before I bought my Elan, I took a good look at ALL the alternatives, including all the other models of Lotus...(the fact that I personally believe that only an open top can give you that really special experience narrows things down somewhat!) and looking at all these photos (cheers people) I still believe that the M100 still holds the title of best looking (with possibly the later Esprits taking the title, but unfortunately no soft top).

So the Evora appeared and when I saw the first artist impressions, I was smitten (especially with the promise of a convertible with even more power)

Then I saw it in the local show room…what a disappointment....I really want to love this car, some angles look good, but overall, it just doesn’t do it, a sentiment shared by all of my petrol head friends. Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the (apparently) imminent convertible version may change those views.

However, at its current price....no deal!....there are just too many alternatives and my personal belief, especially talking to certain people who sell them, is that they will run a certain number and cease production.
