In what way? Trying to convince you that their cars really couldn't be made by a bunch of spotty teenagers in their shop class?
All you had to do was get in the Elan, let the boost come up and motor away from them. The 2CV couldn't begin to catch you and the Moggies would break first, then lose sight of you.
