It depends how much effort you want to go to - I liked the idea of a perspex blocker that went up and down on electrically - I'm sure it was on this thread of on the clicky - but never really got the time to do it - so I went for the easy option. Thinking about it - I believe there are a few options for you guys over the pond - You'll just have to be careful the roll hoops don't interfere with the blocker.

Fitted the classic additions wind deflector today. certainly easy to fit, nicely made and good visibility through the cloth mesh. quickly followed JimF's advice and drilled holes further down to push the top bar up from the middle of the rear view mirror. Extra leverage not an issue as wind deflector nicely wedged in between supporting back and the seat headrests. looks not too obtrusive but i blackened thread from white to black which reduces contrast. Certainly reduces wind buffeting and probably improves listening environment but i felt design could be better. Mine could have been wider and gone past the folding mechanism of the hood to stop wind from the sides more. sides could then slope in to reflect shape of the seat profile. Perhaps this is a wind deflector from another car and so keeps production costs down. I feel the ideal would be wider, sloping sides and maybe a centre lower portion to improve rear mirror visibility

Classic Additions list two variations for the ELAN.
A fixed and a collapsible option. Obvious question I know, but what is the difference? Are the ones shown with the thumb screws the collapsible type or fixed? I'd love a deflector but one that I could pull up or down depending when and where I was driving as it spoils the lines of the car in my opinion and sometimes that matters (if you're a poser).

IIRC there is only one type - the part number is the same, it is easily removable - two thumb screws - though not collapsible - (there is nowhere to collapse it to).

Yep I'll take one but only on the condition it arrives before June 10th. Not worth it for me otherwise. My car comes out in June and then goes away again two weeks later, or rather I do!
